do they/can they make rechargable 123 3 volt batteries? if not are they ever going to make them? thanks cody |

yes, there are. However, you'd probably be better off to just buy regular 123's. If you know where to get them, they are pretty affordable. THIS is where to get them: www.batterystation.com/cr123a.htm There's even rechargeable CR123a batteries there. If you're a member of candle power forum, they have a special offer where you can get their store brand cr123a batters for a buck each. |

One of the advantages of the Li 123s is that they have a 10 year shelf life. The light can stand at ease until you need it, and it will be ready. Rechargables, however, will have a shelf life of less than 30 days. Not good for that bedstand light, glovebox light, or weaponlight that you have mounted there for looks and hardly use. Typically, Li batteries have longer life than rechargables, too. |
| I don't know if this is typical, but one 6V rechargeable I've seen is well over $100. Unless you're using your lights constantly (i.e., professional use), it would take years to recoup the investment of the charger and battery. On top of that, rechargeables do have a limit to the number of times they can be recharged, and eventually they would have to get replaced. |
