I'm thinking of getting a Surefire 951 (thumbscrew mount).  I've got a RRA midlength with a DD 9.0" rail and I'd like to know how much real estate the mount occupies.  I've got 2" (5 rails) free without cutting the TD rail covers.

Optimum would be if it will fit ahead of the rail covers without having to trim them.

It will fit and tighten appropriately but there will be approx. .25" of hangover at the front.
