I have given some thought to putting a Surefire tactical light on my M4gery (possibly with a KAC RAS). If I could get some one to give me an idea of various, models, makes, batteries, and prices I would greatly appreciate it. Maybe a scale of best and worst on various lights and brightness.

Pictures would be great if you get a chance.

Thanks,

I would contact C4iGrant at www.gandrtactical.com. He has always gotten me pointed in the right direction when it comes to various Surefire models.

Just to get you started on what might interest you the following link is a brief overview of SureFire weaponslights -

As far as batteries are concerned, you will be dealing with 3v 123A lithium batteries which can range $1-$1.25 each.  Most of us prefer to stick to SureFire batteries which are a $1.25 each.

What are those plastic sure fire handguard replacements priced at? They appear to be a lot lighter than any railed handguards. Cheaper and lighter maybe? Honestly I dont think I need a quad rail handguard. I love my gun to much as is, I'm not really sure I want to  weigh it down a lot more.

I will contact Grant.

I owe Grant the buisness, I told him I was gonna get a few things from him and then I had to buy some new truck tires and got a little behind on cash. (I feel guilty for saying something and not doing it, hopefully after I get some more cash I will buy a Surefire from him, maybe an EOtech) He is a real freindly guy who knows his stuff.

Thanks for all the Info, just give me an idea of price ranges and anything else you might want to comment on.

Do you mean the M500?  The handguard with the light built in?  It's kinda like a suped up, beefed up set of M4 handguards.

Grant is a good guy and he also carries the Laser Devices line of flashlights as well.  They seem to have goten good reviews around here and is a lot cheaper than SF.  You might want to check them out.  I rmember them being about a third less than SF in cost.
