SureFire use the suffix "N" to the model number to indicate that the specific model has been individually tested and rated at 33 metres (100 ft) waterproof.

In addition, the Military Series Handgun WeaponLights, and X200 Series Handgun WeaponLights are waterproof.

The Classic Universal WeaponLights can be ordered waterproof (suffix "H") with stiffened tape and rocker switches should they be required (suffix "K")

I suggest you talk to SureFire or your SureFire WeaponLight Dealer regarding obtaining the model that best meets you requirements.

Referring to the N & K designation on certain system, in all honesty, SF has stated that the first time you breach either the bezel ot tailcap to change batteries or a lamp that they're no longer warrantied as waterproofed.  However, even your std. systems are built as water resistant, instances of rain, quick imersion, etc. shouldn't affect your system though afterwards you will want to disassemble your light to dry all the components and let them air out.  The o-rings should be re-lubed with a non-migrating silicone lubricant.

Another option is the new Laser Devices OP-6. It is waterproof, shock isolated, 65 Lumens, tape switch and ARMS throw lever mount. The best part is that it is cheaper than the SF M952SU...

I dont have a ton of experience with LaserDevices gear, but the ones I have seen were pretty cool as far as I could tell. I saw the mounting screw on one of their BLAST systems for an HK USP break and they replaced it with an upgraded beefier mound for free and in a timely manner. So that was nice. I need to give some of their other stuff a good look!

Grant (or anyone), do you have more experience with them? What do you think compared to other products available?

Regarding Surefire Weapons lights, I've never went swimming or diving with the things-

but I have subjected them(Dedicated weapons lights, classic weapons lights and an M962SU) to harsh Michigan thunderstorms, blizzarding winter conditions and left them intentionally in puddles, mud, dirt  and snow for hours, just to see how much they could take.

None of them were the post production water-proof models and I've never once had a water related failure.

Well LD Lasers are the best CIVY laser available. The torches are catching my eye. The LD sales rep introduces the OP-6 by throwing it across the parking lot and then turns it on! So that was a little impressize to say the least! They seem to have done everything first class with this new line of  weaponlights. I just sold the OP-6 (in above pic) to a Maryland PD. They are VERY happy with them. They shot with them during a 3 day training course and they said it rained every day the lights worked great!
