I'm looking to add a light or laser to my AR but I'm not really interested in a Picatinny rail. Does anyone know where I can get a holder that mounts to the front sight?

SureFire's M25 Mount is designed to mount on the front sight post of the Colt AR15.

SureFire's 576 is the Red Laser Sight using the M25 mount.

SureFire's 678 is the 6V WeaponLight using the M25 mount.

Brownells and Wilson Combat both sell rails that mount to the front sight post.  I used the Brownells version to mount a Surefire M952 and it works very well.  About 30 bucks if I remember correctly.

Edited because I read your post again and see that you aren't interested in rails, but this could be a viable option if you find nothing else.
