I'm looking at purchasing a laser and the OTAL has caught my eye. I need some opinions on the OTAL and help finding a vendor who has one in stock, or possibly an individual sale. Thanks for the info. dukie |
| I am about to purchase a Laser Devices laser myself. I think I am aiming more towards the MR-2 since I have First Samco's M33 handguards which are bi-rail. I have the handguards mounted so that the picatinney rails are on the sides. That's why the MR-2 would be better for me. |

The OTAL unit is designed for military and law enforcement applications. This rugged unit mounts behind the front sight cage on the AR-15, M-16 and M-4 style rifle on a picatinny rail. The low profile design allows the laser to be used in conjunction with night vision equipment. $439 MR-2: The MR-2 aiming laser is a MIL-SPEC system that can be configured to fit most military weapons. This laser features a built in Picatinney base. Optional rail systems available for mounting the laser. $379 http://www.rnjinternational.com/laserdevices.html by far the cheapest i have found, also a full time company, not a fly by night |

rallyman, Yes, you can you mount the OTAL on the side or bottom rails. And yes you can activate it w/o the pressure pad. It has a manual switch on the rear. I run two pressure switches on my M4 with Knights RAS and vertical foregrip. It can be confusing but the key is to leave the one for your light where it is and mount the laser pressure switch beside it. E-mail me and I'll send you some upclose pics of my setup of call the shop DoorKicker6 [email protected] www.blackriflearmory.com |
