All, I've been reading the threads on the SureFire, and have myself created "a poor man's weapon light" using a retired 6P, a scope ring, and a GG&G UFIR. What I'm looking for now is a remote pressure switch for the 6P. I've read posts from folks that have retrofitted the tail caps, made their own, etc.. My question is this: where can I get this tailcap and about how much is it? There's nothing on SureFire's site about these being available as individual items. Lastly, has anyone made one of these themselves?

Thanks in advance-
Steve

Any part for a Sure Fire is available, the trick is finding someone that carries the small stuff or will order it for you.  Drop an e-mail to [email protected].  They bought a really big lot of Sure Fire stuff on closeout from a large law enforcement supply place going out of business.  Don't know if they have what you need, but an e-mail will tell you.  Also, I have seen them from time to time on www.ebay.com.

The SureFire S06 replaces the Push button pressure switch in Classic (non-LockOut) TailCaps.
Here's a link with a photo I found:
http://www.surefirestore.com/sfs06.html
Also comes in S08 (8") and S12 (12")

I suggest you ask a few Dealers about your options.

This forum is for discussion.  Advertising should be directed to the Equipment Exchange.

Wow! AGR is saying the Sxx is $36 compared to ~$60 on the site I linked to (mainly for the photo)
It is well worth calling AGR to check to see if they can get the one you want (and indeed that this part is the one you are after)

LPS,
I'm not sure why my posts keep getting deleted. The question was asked where you can get this part and how much. I answered it. Was the link the problem? I am not advertising nor am I selling anything. I do not work for Arizona Gun Runners. I simply got a deal there and was sharing the information. That, I believe, should be considered discussion.

Just to be clear, I do not work for any Dealer.

It is my understanding that any SureFire Dealer has the ability to order any SureFire part. The trick is knowing that there is a part, and having the right part number to order it. Hopefully this is where I help people find out what SureFire has to offer.

Steve_eg,

You are right that there are rather a lot of products and photos not displayed on SureFire's site. The photo I show is usually from SureFire, but could just as well be the first photo I find online when I do a search...

Al

AGR = ArizonaGunRunners.
LPS = LaggerPro Systems (could be Servies though?)
etc
Anyway, I guess I use too many TLA's!

I strongly advise that you give SureFire Technical support a call before ordering so that you know what you're buying.
