I was installing a Magpul trigger guard (polymer) and the set screw has that yellow dry thread locker that Magpul uses. I haven't had an issue with this before but this time the set screw is supposed to screw into the polymer and create its own threads. This didn't work well as I stripped out the hex in the set screw. Thankfully I was able to get the screw out and Magpul is sending me another one. Question is how can I get that yellow dry lock off of the screw? I have tried gun scrubber, alcohol, and acetone. No luck. Any advice?

Dental pick and 000 steel wool.  Go slow.

I'm guessing that Magpul has threadlock on the screw because of the Advanced trigger guard(aluminum) and they just send out the same screw  for both trigger guards.

Be sure to use the corrrct size wrench or socket.  It is T-7 TORX, rather than 1/6" hex.  Hard to read in photo, but it is T-7 torx.

Don't bother removing the loctite.    Heat up the screw for a second with a lighter.  This will soften the locate, and allow the screw to bite into the plastic better.

And as mentioned, use the proper bit!!
