first timer here so go easy please.  I can't seem to get my search results to show anything but "no results found", so i've resulted to posting.
I have an a2 front sight with the sling attachment under it.  seems like it constantly gets in the way of my grip with my MOE hand guard.  Is it common/easy to take just the sling attachment off?  will i have to drill that rivet that holds it, or is this just a newbie thing and I don't see the easy way to take it off.

guess it would help - colt le6920 magpul furniture

Thanks in advance for any help

I've taken all of mine off with nothing but a hammer & punch.  Get a punch or nail that fits in the concave part of the rivet and just whack it with a hammer.  Usually pops right out.
