| Is this commercially available? I was thinking it would make a good storage option for my .308 ARs. |

You should not use hard cases for storage due to potential rust issues (this is somewhat mitigated using polyethylene foam vs standard
polyurethane foam). Hard cases are for transport when expecting rough handling/abuse in transit. If you plan on traveling via commercial transport with an expensive firearm, then yes, get a hard case. If you cannot get the Hardigg case you seek, look into purchasing a Pelican or Storm case and getting custom cut foam for it. There is a real difference between the professionally cut sets and the do-it-yourself cut foam. No matter how good you are, you cannot match the cut quality of custom, professionally cut foam. Yes, it costs more, but, it is so worth it. 'CPD Industries' and 'My Case builder' are two places on the Web that offer custom foam. My Case Builder has an online design tool to help you make a custom case exactly the way you want it. |
