Does anyone know what type of Loctite it is that Magpul uses on their fasteners. All the loctite I use seems to come off after just a couple times of removal and their's stays in place even when oil and cleaners get on it. Is it even loctite or some other reusable brand? Thanks...

I don't know about now but the thread locker Magpul used on their pistol grip screws a couple of years ago wasn't blue Loctite. It was an amber color.

A couple years ago it seemed like it was a squirt of liquid nails, now it seems to have changed to more of a softer loctite.

I'm almost positive I have seen it in blue, red, and yellow on the grip screw threads.

I just received the Magpul RSA QD yesterday (and it is awesome by the way, small footprint, rock solid mount) and it has yellow on the threads so yeah they do seem to change occasionally. Both my AFG and BUIS have blue loctite, but I believe the MIAD grip has yellow. So I'm not sure if there is a specific reason for this (different parts diiferent color or loctite use) or it's what they had handy. Thanks for all the answers guys. I know the Magpul dudes are lurking around here somewhere maybe we can get them to weigh in on it...if it's not top secret.
