Are all of the different brands of ladder rail covers about the same? What brands to get and which ones to avoid? I see them from around $16 for 4 of them to $40 for 4 of them.

Thanks,

Makes me upset that I didn't buy a ton more of them years back when Botac had a sale for $2 each, which is all they should sell for considering what they are.

Some are made of "better" materials than others.  Santoprene is supposed to be the good stuff for heat resistance and longevity.

When you look at what you are getting compared to the Magpul magazine for a few dollars more, the ladder rails are internet robbery....I agree.

It is hard to justify $11 per rail, but the cheaper ones are really cheap.

I like the Ergo brand as compared to the others, I just bought a set of three for $32.

I think the ones I got were from Botach. Its been a while since I got them though. They are santoprene and have held up well so far. I want to say they were Falcon brand.

On EBay there are ones from Omega Tactical that were $10 a piece and now selling in a 4 pack for $20 shipped. Supposed to have got them from a going out of business sale. Anyone know anything about this brand?

(I did a search and saw them with paintball & airsoft.)

In 2 weeks there is a gun show in Ft Myers, Fl. I'll probably check out what they have.

Thanks,

Falcon is/was Ergo.  Damn I should have bought more than 30 of them during that sale.

I have no idea why they cost what they do, but the ERGO are the ones that I like the best.

I use surefire ladder rail covers and have been very happy with them.  They fit nice and tight, the material is tough and I like the the little scoop in the middle.  I think they look better than some other brands.  Good luck op
