Am I retarded or is this rail not completely connect around all the way down the barrel?  I can see the barrel from this pic and it looks like there is 4 different rails cantilevered down the barrle.  I don't think it is the angle but does anyone else have one of these with an upclose pic?  If so what are your thoughts about this.

Thanks!

It's not connected. It's four independent rails attached at the barrel nut and gas block. The top rail hides the AK style piston assembly.

Never saw anything like that before.  May be a wonderful concept, but IMHO, it doesn't inspire much faith.  Not diggin' it at all.

I would still love to see an above and close up view of this upper with a few different angles.

It is very solid, I am not sure what there is to not dig about it.

I don't have one myself, because it's Saturday, but I've shot my partner's (he was with DEA so he can speak to the retarded issue better than me) and I loved his.  I will order mind a little bit different from what he got (FDE, but he's from San Francisco, so, . . . ?) I like black.  But despite not knowing really what he was doing when he bought it, I was blown away by it.  The thing could double for a crow bar.  The rails are different but not weird at all, despite the appearance.  That was one of the most solid weapons I've ever played with and it ran like a Singer Sewing Machine.

The barrel is not free floated, neither was my Noveseke (low end - N-4) which didn't, frankly, seem to have any impact?  Make a difference.  IMHO they are really well though out, designed and constructed weapons.  I'll be posting some brand new NIB weapons in EE that I don't think I'm ever going to need now.
