I purchased one of the Plano cases Walmart had on sale for black Friday. i Plucked it out and fit my AR in but i really don't like the pluck foam, anyone know where i could buy a piece of solid foam that i could trace and just cut? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My buddy practically stole one from Wal-Mart for 37 dollars
I had never heard of them till that day and went to get one of my own and low and behold they run around 100 bucks for the 36 inch model. |

different case a lot more flimsy than the Gun Guard one OP bought. These are built more like the Pelican cases but a bit lighter actually a lot lighter but if you don't need your case to survive getting ran over by a tank they work well and are weather resistant. They have cut out foam like a Pelican a pressure relief valve on the bottom and the big double gun case has wheels.
They're pretty nice for about half the cost of a new Pelican. |

In this area it was a black friday deal and by the time I found out they were there and the price they were long gone with no more in sight. |

What about using one of those arrow targets i have seen some large ones at gander mtn. I purchased two cases and would like something different also. I dont like the tearaway foam coming out with my gun. Awesome idea. Buying the closed cell foam from those sites will cost more than twice the case itself

Ok one more aweme idea I am gonna look into those exercise mats. I believe Those can be had for fairly cheap at Walmart. What ya think. They are thin. Usually about an inch thick at most. You would need a 3-4" thick piece of foam. Cheaper are anti fatigue matts. I usually buy the ones from Harbor Freight for $7 with coupon. You have to stack them though. |
