[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help identify this sling

Close quarters combat sling adapter kit, PN 12956271 NSN 1005-01-478-0848.

It's in the Army Tech manual TM 9-1005-319-23&P revised November 2008. Any help identifying this sling kit would be great.

that is the M4 side sling mount

It replaces the side mount, but the pics in the book don't give much detail. It uses a cable and a barrell band.
