It definitely made it big, but with the AFG it seems to be fine, since my hand only touches the handguard on the left side, with my thumb on the top rail. I will shoot it this weekend to test. I got the Midwest FF cheese-grater to replace a round handguard that was too hot to touch in summer shoots. Plus, it's a lighter handguard (11.9 oz. vs. 14.5 oz.) The rifle seems to balance better, but the test will be during a match. I may yank the covers off the top rail. I considered a Hogue, but not having any attachment points wasn't ideal, and they have no ventilation whatsoever. Not ideal for rapid-fire matches. This is the third Midwest handguard I've gotten, and I like their products. |

| I love the XTM panels. They are my favorite rail cover on the market. But I think using multiple colors like this make it look too much like a failed fashion statement. Function over fashion. Nothing wrong with choosing a color other than black, just find one and stick with it. Unfortunately, that puts my vote on Ghey. |

.....just kidding, would look a whole lot better if the cover colors were all the same.
