I just got a padded VCAS I ordered from bravo company and was wondering if it was supposed to come with the quick detach part or if thats an extra piece i have to buy. Also it did not come with any instructions on how to install it, and all the videos I found online were how to install it to a fixed stock not a collapsible stock. If someone could direct me to some instructions I would appreciate it.

Also I tried to serch but found nothing.

The QD adapter is a separate piece.  You can also use regular QD swivels and attach the sling to them.  I tried that and it worked, but I was not satisfied.  I ended up ordering the adapters.

I am not sure what you are asking about.  The part I am talking about is in the 1st link in my post above.  It is a quick detach point from the sling to your rifle.

Here is some more info:

Hope that helps.

The sling shoud come with a quick-release (Fastex) buckle. One end will be on the main part of the sling, and the other piece is attached to the little "tail" of webbing that attaches to the stock.

They do not come with QD swivels unless you order that particular model.

They do not include the quick release buckle. It is an additional charge.

If i'm right, the non-padded version comes with the fastex attachment, but the padded one does not.  You have to buy that part separately.

The padded version is already really long even when adjusted as short as possible.  If you add the release buckle section it is REALLY going to be long IMHO.

I just got the padded vcas. It doesn't come with those 'squeeze to release' plastic buckles on additional web.  I also think it would be really long with more web but that's just my personal assessment.  Great sling though.

Same here.  I ordered two padded VCAS slings direct from Blue Force and they did not come with quick release (Fastex) buckles.

Hey Nemo, just for future reference - both of those companies, you would find it's easier to contact their customer service before starting internet threads.  They WILL take care of you.  Sometimes, when you're buying weapon stuff, you're paying for the reputation of the company.  When I say that, I mean that you're paying for them to fix any issues that may arise.  Good companies will take care of their customer and support their product.  BCM and BFG are two of those.

Enjoy the sling
