OK, I've seen the UWL loops attached to the barrel, front sight base, and hand-guards in photos and vids, but I've never actually seen one in person.

What I'd like to know is this:

1. What size loops are best if I want to put one up on the barrel by the front sight base, the smaller one or the larger one?

And

2. I know that the smaller loop will cinch down on the A2 hand guards near the back end, but if I remove the hand-guards, can I work the loop back behind the delta ring?

Thanks guys!

Check out Blue Force Gear for a demo...

ETA - I may have seen it on youtube rather than the vickers site.  I can't remember exactly.

I have been thinking about this the last couple weeks actually, regarding one under the front sight base. My thought is that I would go with the shortest, which would leave you with more adjustment in your sling. If I understand how these work, and maybe I don't, but the length they are once you have them mounted is static, so longer loop would give less sling adjustability.

They are a bitch to get on, and a bigger bitch to get off.

I had one on one of my rifles. USMC03 did a review here someplace.

They work great. But they are a bitch to get on, and a bitch to get off.

I liked mine, but it ate the finish off my barrel.
