I have a mid length AR (16'' barrel) that is basically needing a head start on me building it. Only problem is i'm unsure of what handguard I would like to have..
I am interested in quite a few different handguards, but my question is... which is best? I'd like to have a longer handguard if at all possible. I don't know if it is recommended or not, I prefer rifle length due to how i grew up shooting. Anyway, here are a few I was interested in. Which would be best for the money? http://store.troyind.com/13_TRX_Standard_BattleRails_p/strx-sta-f3bt-00.htm http://store.troyind.com/Drop_In_Rifle_Length_BattleRail_p/srai-mrf-d2bt-00.htm http://store.troyind.com/product_p/strx-sta-f1bt-00.htm http://store.troyind.com/12_MRF_R_Rails_for_M16_Rifle_Carbines_p/srai-mrf-r2bt-00.htm http://www.skdtac.com/Daniel_Defense_Lite_Rail_12_p/ddf.106.htm To be honest, I don't know how well these work. I don't know if I could put a set of flip-up front sights on this thing and have it decent enough. I'm no sharpshooter, I just want to be able to hit a yote at about 200 yards. Input? Thanks in advance! and forgive the noobishness to AR's |

A good bit of change. around $300. Brightlflashlights.com has the deals though. I mean...you pay $150-$250 for Troy anyways...I would just go all the way the first time. And with brightflashlights you buy from a site dealer, with great rep, and get some rail ladders and a mag loader as well. |

Quoted: Quoted: Do Daniel Defense. Troy is front heavy...trust me....I got one. yes...he does and I got my Daniel Defense rail for around $250 from bravocompany.com brownells has it for $260ish. look around and you could probably find it as low as $225ish I think he wants rifle length so the price is a little more than carbine or middy. |
