Getting ready to put on the Magpul ASAP, it comes with two shims they say commercial and mil., the rifle is a Bushmaster do I use the mil or commercial shim!

Your Bushmaster is more than likely a Commerical tube , I 'd bet my left nut on it, if bought bought it factory complete.

also on the tube look and see how deep the cut is underneath. and place both shims inside the groove a mil-spec groove will not be as deep a groove as a commerical will be.
