Hey I was wondering is there a big difference in the Viking Tactics Wide Padded Sling and the Blue Force Vickers sling????  How do they compare in comfort, looking at the padded version and the practical use for both?????

I think the padded sling is for SAW / M240 gunners...

both are very similar, they both offer a padded version for the ar. there are good deals on the vtac slings on ebay so they are a bit cheaper for what ive been able to find.

the vtac uses a metal slide lock that seems to work great, but I have seen people say it sometimes clanks around and can scratch your rifle. Also the vtac normally leaves a tail that flaps around when you take up the slack.

the vcas AA sling uses a composite/plastic slider that does not leave any tail behind so there is nothing to flap.

both are great slings so you will probably be satisfied either way.

i just got the vtac 2pt padded upgrade sling, and it has sleeves to tuck the loose straps into and all metal hardware, comfy and has enough adjustment for me

My take on this is that it basically boils down to two things...

The downside to the VTAC is the tail.

The downside to the VCAS is the limitation on the amount of adjustment.
