I'm in the process of building my first AR. I purchased a Stag lower. I have an A2 buttstock kit coming along with  a LPK so I can get started. I would like to purchase a tactical soft case. I cannot find any guidelines for determining the proper rifle case length.  I'm trying to purchase all of the lower priced items and accessories before I purchase my upper. I know it may seem ass backwards, but that's what I would like to do. Right now I think I am going to go with a 20" barreled upper. Does anyone have a rifle case suggestion for me? If some of you could measure your rifles, a chart could be easily be put together.

For example:

AR-15 rifle with an A2 buttstock and a 24" upper would need a _______ inch long case.
AR-15 rifle with an A2 buttstock and a 20" upper would need a _______ inch long case.
AR-15 rifle with an A2 buttstock and a 18" upper would need a _______ inch long case.
AR-15 rifle with an A2 buttstock and a 16" upper would need a _______ inch long case.
AR-15 rifle with an A2 buttstock and a 14.5" upper would need a _______ inch long case.
AR-15 rifle with an CAR buttstock and a 20" upper would need a _______ inch long case.
AR-15 rifle with an CAR buttstock and a 18" upper would need a _______ inch long case.
AR-15 rifle with an CAR buttstock and a 16" upper would need a _______ inch long case.

Thanks for your input!

I'll post my build pics. All of my lower parts should be in hand real soon. Just got 6 mags and a Magpul trigger guard today. I'm already sitting on 500 rounds of ammo to get started.
