Looking for a simple design that uses a metal clip to connect to a round-hole sling mount at the back of the lower receiver.  Would prefer not to have springy things, snaps and buckles and all that, just a basic unit.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Urban ERT.  Best of both worlds.  Can go from single point to 2-point with ease, plus lifetime guarantee.  I own two.

Urban ERT Sling One/Two-point

Matt is great to deal with as well and a US soldier.

Nope, its GearSector. They make great slings, especially their single point (ASP). It's not a complicated sling, but it does involve the use of a buckle.

Is there a problem with specter gear? I have their SOP slings and it's fantastic.

OK, my bad.  I went to the Gear Sector web site and it all looks GTG.  But, I really what a metal snap-on clip to match my attachment point.

Hell no, Spectre Gear is top drawer, I have several of their molle components and they are great.

The gear sector sling looks like it may be a little long and hang a little low because of the quick disconnect. I've run a few slings like that where no matter how much slack you take up from the sling, it still hangs low because theres a few inches of non adjustable length from the slings loop to where it attaches to the rifle.

With a single point sling 90% of the time is spent hands on. That said, the torso loop can be cinched up more than enough to accommodate the smallest of builds. The extra length between torso loop and weapon allows you to shoot off either shoulder without the need for special mounting systems. For example, our dedicated left or right handed SPRE mounts can be used without issue.

Shoot me your postal address and color preference via IM or Email and I will get one headed your way to evaluate.

Sent Jason an IM. I'm up for it, I'll compare it and do a write up of the Gear Sector and my other two favorite single point slings, the Blue Force Gear UDC and Magpul MS2.

I have the Gear Sector single point and the Magpul MS2.  I am running the GS with an HK hook adaptor on a Magpul ASAP.  I prefer the extra slack that the Gear Sector has as opposed to the MS2.  They are both great slings but the GS works better for me.

I got a Gear Sector on the way.  It's my first "non-GI and non-NM 1913" sling.  Hope I like it.
