I have had a M&P 15 MOE for a few months now and recently picked up a Leupold scope and Harris Folding and Extending Bi-Pod. The MOE Handgaurds don't have rails [I'm sure most of you know] and I was trying to figure out a way to mount the bi-pod on the cheap. I have a spare sling nut that I ended up running through the handgaurd as far forwards towards the FSB as I could and mounting the Bi-Pod on that. The MOE handgaurds wiggle a bit to much for my taste with the Bi-Pod so I went shopping again. I found a Barrel Clamp style mount and was curious to hear what others would think of mounting it just in front of the FSB. Short of ordering a Free Float rail I don't see another option to fix the wobble. Any opinions on the clamping style mount that far forward on a 16" carbine? Will I bend the barrel and lose accuracy by putting weight on it? Help a newfie out.
Edit - Just saw the other users post several below mine Ignore if you would like I will just watch the other thread.
