I am nervous that I am going to get a rifle bag that my rifle won't fit in.
My AR is just shy of 36" long and is 11.5" tall from the bottom of the magazine to the top of the aimpoint ML3 and Poboy magnifier. I'm looking to keep it under $70. I don't need anything fancy. Just something to hold the rifle and move it around a little bit. suggestions? |
| Midway brand rifle cases, I think they call them "assault rifle" cases, which have mag pockets are less than $50 and a good value for the money. They come in a variety of lengths. Midway |

Anybody used the 5.11 Gun Cases yet? I have the double gun case in 42" I think. I like it, but it was a "I'm in deployment and I am bored" purchase, I do how ever love the fact that it has backpack style straps, making it a lot easier to carry. It also has MOLLE everywhere. Hindsight being 20/20 I wish I would have spent the money on a similar sized Pelican hard case. |

What I would not buy is a "Hybrid Technology" case....bought one today and am taking it back tomorrow...it has 4 pouches on the outside for mags but 30 round mags will only fit in the middle two pouches...the outside two pouches are too narrow...20 round mags would probably fit fine but that is not what I have..
I'll be checking some of the recommendations in this post for a different case.... |
