What's the Max amount your trying to spend?

Looks like you'll be shooting prone with the shorter length bipods. If your not shooting for super accuracy, try shooting prone with 30 round mag planted on the ground. It helps stablize the gun quite a bit and doesn't add any weight to the carbine.

I started a similar topic to this earlier (found here)

I had been thinking about it (and saving) for a while. This is what I decided on. It is a bit pricey but you get two items in one. My cousin used it over in Iraq for 6 years and he highly recommended it. I realize you are on a budget, so it would take some patience and saving. I cannot yet personally vouch for it yet (just ordered today) but it is in use by, and I quote, "in worldwide use with select Special Forces units including: US Navy Seals and EOD, US Army, US Army Special Forces and Designated Marksmen, Secret Security, USMC, US SOCOM, FBI HRT, and unmentionable government entities" so you know it is quality. I was skeptical about the durability of it (what if I hit the ground hard or dropped it while it was deployed) but on the manufacturers web site (found here) there is a picture of a guy standing on a rifle that has the pod attached and deployed.

I intend to post my thoughts on it once it is received and tested.

thanks for the replies, i actually found this one and purchased it. LINK Most of my shooting will be prone or on a shooting bench so i dont need a big one.  im not looking to do competition shooting or anything that serious with my AR.  mostly this is for fun and plinking.  Heh im even saving for a GSG5 to plink with.
