Which sling mount should I get for a Single Point Tactical Rifle Sling  (Bungee)?   Here is a link to the sling I have on the way.  Voodoo Tactical Sling  I see many different manufacturers out there.  Are some better than others or some to stay away from?  I have also seen several different styles.  This one has a claw like hook.  I'd prefer one thats ambidextrious and it's being mounted on an Bushmaster adjustable stock.  Are they pretty easy to install?  Forgive my lack of knowledge here, I know my weapon, however, I have never used anything else than an issue nylon cheapo sling.

The Midwest Industries Angency type adapter is pretty good.  I have them on two of my builds (DPMS and Stag).  It is also very easy to install.  You just pull the stock off the tube, slide the adapter up to the receiver around the castle nut, apply a little blue loctite to the screw, then tighten.  I've carrierd these setups for a while, and they have never slipped off the castle nut.  You can find them here.

Since your sling has a HK Style attchment hook, I suggest the Yankee Hill Machine Carbine Ambidextrous Sling Mount Model # YHM-9757. That is what I have.

Thanks for the info guys.  I'm going to call around and see if any local places have the slings you mentioned.  Is there a write up anywhere to show how to remove the stock and install this piece?  I want to make sure I do it right.

Try doing a google search or youtube. It is VERY easy to do. Having a stock tool/spanner wrench makes it go faster. When you take the end plate loose there is a spring and detent behind it that hold in the take down pin. When you take the tube loose the buffer detent and spring WILL fly out if not held down with your finger.

Thanks for the speedy replies everyone.  You all are great.  I do have a question for ya though, does Promag make a good quality rear ambi sling mount?  Theres a local place near me that has that brand.  I tried a search and only thing I found was that their mags suck.

I have one of those, it renders the rifle inoperable by blocking the movement of the charging handle, no matter how I position the endplate.

I try to stay away from any thing with the name "pro mag". There are a lot out there that are really good for a few dollars more. If you have the time to wait, I would preorder the new Magpul ASAP sling mount. Its $29.95 + shipping on their site. Check it out, there is a video about it on their site from SHOT, looks bad ass.

cjp,

I lik ethe Magpul design the best.  You said something about preordering one?  Magpul's website looks like you can order one right now.  It doesn't indicate anything stating that there's a wait.

What? Do you have it installed upsidedown? There is no way it can interfer with the charging handle if installed properly.

I was wondering that.  I just checked the Magpul website, and ummmm, I won't be ordering it from them, I don't care how nice it is.  They want $8.99 for S&H and thats the slowest rate possible.  Nothing personal against them, but I'm in Michigan, not a forign country, and it doesn't weigh that much.
Anyone know anything about Blackhawks interesting version?  It's also for rapid trasnition but VERY easy install.

Yeah I seen that. From what I have heard from other fellas on here is that the new sling mount is shipping at the end of the month, which it almost is, so I don't think there will be much of a wait if any. I'm really mad at my self, I just bought a new sling mount a few weeks ago b4 I knew of this sweet ASAP. Guess I will have to pony up the bucks and get one too.

Doesn't anyone else think that $8.99 S&H for the slowest rate mail (not even first class) is a bit steep for a small piece of metal?  Thats the like the guy on ebay that rapes you on shipping.
