I am looking for a gun case for my M4 Duty rifile. I have a case but it is far to long. Rifile has way to much room. I am looking for a tight fit, does not have to be foam.

| 5.11 does make a very, very solid product, I was tempted to get the double, but I never carry more than one at a time so keeping the price under $100 was a consideration. I have looked at a lot of cases and I definitely thought the craftmanship on the 5.11 was the best in a nylon stiched case. A Pelican would be superior for protection, obviously, but inferior in flexibility of application or customization externally. I use Pelicans for all of the Elsur equipment on the job and it is unparalelled for protection. |

My favorite range case is my Boyt "TAC-536 36" Rectangular Tactical Gun Case" which is the same case as the Galati "Square Discreet Rifle Case with Modular Pocket - 38 inch". I got the Boyt because it is devoid of any external logos and discreet is my watch word (I live adjacent to a college and don't like inviting attention everytime I load up the car, the case looks sorta like a muscal instrument case). My M4 clone fits very snug and secure with the adjustable velcro straps and I can carry six mags and a few other range essentials in the external pocket... it gets my vote.
