I think Im backing this too complicated, but thought I would asking.  Im looking for a cheap economical sling.  Im just plinking varminitng, or hunting.  Basically a sling that will work, somewhat durable, and affordable.  Anybody have any ideas?  I could just go buy a basic hunting sling at wal-mart but thats not what im looking for.

Judging by your requirements, an adjustable 2-point will serve you MUCH better.

550 cord will work in a pinch or just get a basic issue sling.

Build your own.  Tacked in the AR Slings forum:

Wicked easy, and wicked cheap.  I've made a few 2 point, a 3 point, and 2 single points.  Work extremely well once broken in a bit.  There a post in the thread for an online store that was giving discounts to AR15 members as well.

Time to do some reading grasshopper!
