I just bought a RRA Predator pursuit with the FF tube and a single bipod stud.  I'd have a magpul CTR stock on the lower and want to use a Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat Applications Sling.  How can I connect it to the rifle in the front?  Do I drill another hole and put anotehr stud or is there some other way?

thanks

pick up any QD sling swivel and it will attach to the bipod stud.  Uncle Mikes makes some that most sporting goods stores carry.

On the CTR stock it mounts on the side.  All the other mounts I've seen show it on the side up front as well does it make a difference?

Yes, a tactical sling should mount on the side back and front.

So what do I need to do up front?

This is what you do with the stud up front.  A QD sling swivel will mount on that stud.

He wants to use a tactical sling which needs to be mounted on the side.  The bottom stud is good for a parade sling or competition sling.

I looked on the RRA web site and didn't see your gun so I'm not sure what your set up looks like.  I pic would help here. If you have a FF tube with no rail and no front site tower, then the only thing I can think of is the forarm adapter from Blue force Gear that wraps around the forend and provides a side attachment for the Vickers sling.

You hit it right on the money.  Here is a upper I have:
Predator Pursuit Upper

I need to figure out how to put a tactical sling on a FF tube with no rail and no front site tower.

Okay, I got it. You don't want to mount to the barrel because that defeats the purpose of the FF tube.  The picture that is posted above is the Vickers adapter that I was talking about.  You just need to put a sling swivel on your bottom stud to make that work.  I guess you could drill and tap a hole in the side of the tube and put in a new stud, but I've nevers seen anyone do that.

Or, that really doesn't look like a tactical entry or fighting gun but it looks like a long range or sniper gun.  You could just use a competition sling like a Turner, or use your Vickers like a comp. sling.
