Will the push button version of this unit (VCAS-PB) work with the GG&G QD Sling Thing Front With QD Swivel? And secondly. Are there any swivel units similar to the GG&G Sling Thing, but mount lower (as in around the barel, rather than in the A-frame of the front sight.) I'll be using a Daniel Defense Rear Receiver QD Swivel Attachment Point for the rear. (Unless you have other advice) Any other advice as to how to mount a Vicker Combat Application Sling (preferably swivel) to the front of a standard M4 would be appreciated. Get a FF rail and a GG&G mount for the rail. |

With time my friend, with time. Working my way up the M4gery food chain here. But for now I don't need a weapon light, vertical foregrip, night vision, lasers, grenade launcher, or a can opener. LOL Who knows, LaRue might come out with a can opener mount at the next SHOT Show. If he did though it would be the best can opener mount in the industry. Hands Down! |

If you want a QD up front, you'll end up with one that fits the A-frame. There are none that mount lower. At least not that I've ever seen. The DD rear mount is nice. If you want a QD rear you should look at the Tango Down PR4 or the MI #30. They offer you side mount holes in addition to the rear one. That gives you a lot of mounting options. The DD is a little lower profile, since you have to pull the stock. The KAC is the lowest profile, but only has the side holes and not the rear hole. The KAC is probably the most expensive as well. And you really want QD swivels that limit the rotation of the sling. A QD swivle that rotates all the way around makes your sling into a big tangled mess. Swivels that limit rotation keep your sling in a useable form. The rear hole is a non-issue since the receiver extension will act as a limiter. |
