I noticed some people attach a sling thingy near their endplate. I like this because it fills that annoying "gap" between the stock and receiver.
Who makes them?  How many makes are there?

I've seen the Knights Armament and Daniel Defense, I'm sure there are other brands out there.

What kind of attachment do you want to use? A QD swivel or a regular sling loop. Choose the hardware that matches your chosen sling.

I like the single point type.

Single point. Check.
How do you want the sling to connect to the rifle?

Do you want to use HK style hooks? Effective but may be noisy.
Do you want to use a QD type swivel? More expensive but effective.
Do you just want to loop the sling material through a loop? The least expensive and most basic.

You have some options.

Are you willing to pull the lower receiver extension off to mount the thing?
Or do you want to mount the thing on the extension, without removing it?

You have some options.

Decide how you want to mount the thing, and then you can pick the option that works best for you. Each has advantages.

The end plate with a loop for HK hooks or an end plate with a fixed sling loop will be the least expensive option. Make sure that the loop sits low on the receiver so it does not interfere with your ability to pull the charging handle back. One that is to high may take the skin off your knuckles as you pull the handle to the rear.

An end plate that accepts QD swivels will cost more and may interfere with your ability to close the stock all the way. On the other hand it may give you more sling mounting options. (Side or rear)
