You beat me to it. I have ordered from them too and like the material and service.

Regular or firm?...... best for the rifle case in your opinion??

My opinion is Firm 1.6 Density Charcoal Foam. Works great and cuts easily.

Not sure if it is available for that size, but I have found the pick n pluck foam to be very easy to work with!

Depending on the case size, it may be cheaper to go to cases4less.com. They have complete replacement sets for all the Pelican and Hardigg cases for about the same as a sheet from Foam by Mail. But again, it would depend on the case size and what you wanted...pick and pluck or solid.

I get mine from Foam Order.

They'll custom cut it for almost nothing (outside dimensions only, no cutouts).

I swapped out the factory Pelican foam in my 1700 for eggcrate (top & bottom) for somewhere around $30.00 shipped.

Well, I ordered, and already got the foam, using the Foam by Mail link posted by MARSH1.  The 1.6 density is an exact replacement for the foam in the Pelican case, just had to cut it to size.  Thanks for the info guys.

In case you have not seen this link in the DYI section on foam cutting.
