I have a 3 pt sling with the HK style snap hooks. What is the best way to mount it to my AR? I have a CTR stock and a YHM FF forearm. I'm on a tight budget so the cheapest and/or most durable method is preferred.

Surely some one knows how to mount a sling to an AR

Scorch

The most common and popular method for attaching that style of sling is 550 cord.  Looking at your rifle you can attach a piece of 550 cord to the side of the forend and pass a second piece through the small hole in the stock and loop the cord above the top of the stock.  I would tie the cord around the forend and then tie a loop to hook the sling into.  This would make sure that the cord would not contact a hot barrel.  I guess the best thing to say is the simplest things will work.

BTW, sweet looking rifle.

I have one end attached to the side facing ring just forward of the rails and the other end to the upper rear of the stock providing a side angle.

Sarge thanks for the idea. Idk what i didnt think of that. Now i need to get some superglue to keep it from accidentally coming undone next week when I'm at front sight .
