I've had 1,2 and 3 point slings. I've come to the conclussion that the best and simplest set up. Has to be a regular 2 point with a side sling mount (barrel or rail) and the rear simply threaded through the stock the best that you can.

After 4 or 5 years of experimenting with all kinds of slings. This combo seems the simplest. Can anybody change my mind or send me in another direction. I want one sling combo that does it all and is not mission specific.

For general slingin', I too prefer an adjustable 2 pt.
However, a receiver sling plate makes much more sense -
as attaching to the stock causes weak-side transitions to be much more difficult.

I have been thinking about replacing my factory sling with the Troy one-point but i do not have any experience with any sling other than your standard 2-point.

There is one sling that does it all as a single point and a 2-point quick adjust.
