What do you guys prefer to use to mount the sling to the rifle?
Push-button QD, HK style hook, std sling swivel?
Or something other?

And why?
Looking for feedback on what works well and maybe not so well.

The last two slings I have run have used the push button QD's. One was the VTAC and the other a VCAS. The reason I like the QD's is that I can get rid of the Fastex on the Vickers and get a wider range of motion on the slider to adjust it. Another reason is the qd's have some swivel in them and seem to ride a bit better.

I have the QD's attached on LT rail and Magpul stock on one build and DD adapters on anther.

Biggest factor is whether or not you have rails. I don't. I used a LaRue sling with an HK hook attached to the front side sling swivel. Not perfect, but its comfy and functional for my civilian needs. I have a QD on my buttstock.

I prefer the push button QD on my two carbines, with both Blue Force Gear two point IDF style and Vickers slings.

The fronts are rail QD mounts and the rear usually the built in QD mount on my Vltor and Magpul CTR stocks.

I like the option of either removing it from the front mount or the rear and no fastex buckles hanging on the weapon when the slings are removed.
