Command Arms Accessories is selling a buttstock called the CBS. It looks like the standard six position collapsable with a battery compartment that holds 4 batteries ( o-ring sealed ), and a rubber pad. Any feedback on the quality ? KZ |
I got one about three weeks ago, so far I like it. I have only shot with it once and that was at bullet fest, not the best place to do an in depth evaluation . I will say that it fits on my RRA tube very tight, which I like. The cheek weld it about the same as the regular M4 stock. The bottom is a wee bit slimmer due to the contoured push paddle to collapse the stock. As far as the pick rails I guess you can add a extra mag carrier on one side ( my rifle is already too damn heavy) . The other side has a built in battery compartment, which is nice, holds four 3v's or ear plugs or what ever else you can fit in it. It had three or four grommets that will take a quick release swivel mount, again I have not tried them yet. The rubber butt pad is very sold, which is the reason I got the stock to begin with. For me at least, regular M4 stocks feel a bit slippery on uniform material ( polly blend) Plus the mandatory whistle chain runs right down my shoulder. I originally added a rubber pad to my M4 stock to give it some friction against my shoulder, the add on worked but had a sloppy fit, this one feels much more solid and it's molded in so it can slip off. What else would you like to know? |
