Hello,
I'm in the process of building my first rifle (M4gery).  I'm looking for input on sling attachments and slings.
I read in other post(s) 3-point slings are difficult for lefty's because they block the ejection port.  Any lefty's out there that have this issue with all or some 3-point slings?

What hardware do I need to attach to my rifle to accomodate a 3-point sling for a lefty?

Any lefty's have issues with a single point sling?

What hardware do I need to attach a single point sling to accommodate a lefty?

Those normal people who are right handed may chime in if they offer good advice.
Thanks in advance,
LittleLamb

I guess all AR shooters must be right handed.LittleLamb

LittleLamb, I had this same problem.  I got a Specter CST sling for my M-4gery, and I have occasionally blocked the ejection port when shooting.  I'm looking at a Specter MOUT sling now, with the GG&G single point plate for lefties.

Even though it wasn't perfect for me as a leftie, Specter stuff is extremely well made, IMO.  I'm happy to stay with them for another sling.

Regards,
Dave

I've had all kinds of problems with 3-point slings. I currently use 1 and 2 point slings.

The single point sling plate on the RH side of the rifle will block eassy access to the forward assist.
You can still get to it with some creative thumb work, though.

From pictures, it LOOKS like the HK-style snap loops don't interfere with the FA. I recently ordered a Blue Force Gear sling, and one of the loops with a Magpul M93b. So whenever those come out, I'll give you and update.

Anyway, other than that, I've had zero problems with 1 point slings.

I am a lefty and have switched the few 3 point slings I had to single points on my ARs. I like them much better as there is less straps to get hug up on everything. Another benifit is you can transition to your right hand with out taking the sling off which most 3 points won't allow.
I have used the  Spectre MOUT and just received a Troy single point to try out this weeknd. The single loop sling plate does kinda get in the way of the forward assist but the HK hook style leaves more room. I don't worry about it since I don't use the FA since if the round wont chamber I eject it.
The 3 point slings offer a few different carry options a single point doesn't but I don't think I will need to carry it like a back pack and so on.

Thanks for your help everyone.

I think for a lefty, a single-point is the way to go.  It's what I had on my rifle for a few years, and I really liked it.  (If you just wear it a little differently, it works for people like me, that shoot rifles lefty and handguns righty.)
Good luck!

I agree, for lefties a good sinlge point sling like the Spector MOUT sling will work best.

Fish your right hand over the strap that runs parallel to the gun ( if you are not using a VPG) on a 3 point and this will hold the strap below the ejection port.  On a single point the DD/CQB ambi-plate works well if you use an H&K type hook to connect the sling to the gun.
