I mounted a scope but the front sight sits up so high its in the scope,  can I remove that front sight post ?  It has a gas tube in it ?  How can that be removed ?

you can cut the sight off

but most don't have a issue with the sight as it 'disappears' in the scope over 3x power..

What optic? What mount? Pics of your set up helps too.

Easier just to cut the barrel off before the FSP Hacksaw will do ... also like above said.. above 3x or so most dont see in in FOV

Don't be silly.  Leave it just the way it is.

Well If you're going to go that far, you might as well get a free float rail too instead of polymer handguards.

What's the magnification on this scope?

If the scope is 3.5x or greater, you will never see the front sight tower.

Then I may leave it as it is. The scope is 3x9.

What kind of mount are you using? You need to buy a mount designed for ARs. The cross hairs should be right in line with the top of the front sight post and as stated before it just disappears when you look through the scope. Even guys running a 1x optic get used to the "co-wittness" of the iron sight and the red dot.

I bought one of these

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=3&campId=5337559805&toolId=10001&customId=izhppw6upu00zk8a00004&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FUUQ-C4-12X50-Rifle-Scope-Dual-Illuminated-Reticle-W-GREEN-Laser-Dot-Sight-%2F122324740153%3Fhash%3Ditem1c7b1f6839:g:N9cAAOSwNnRYf5a~

IT sits kind of low with a pickatinny mount, How can I move it up, is there an adapter block ?  I thank you for helping me

I am not going to cut off the front sight now.

So you've looked through that and you see the front sight? That really shouldn't be. I'd try to get my money back. You bought a good high quality rifle, don't put no name Chinese optics on it. That set up looks way to gimmicky. I'm not even sure if Chinese green lasers are safe.
Read the 14th post ( by pursuitSS) in this thread.

For not much more money you could buy a vortex optic and maybe a weaver SPR mount.

You can buy risers in different sizes if you want to raise it up a little.

Also you should read this section to learn about optics.

I would leave it, but you can shave it. Search this site or google it.
