| I bought a pepr mount and just bought a burris xtr 1.5x6x40. I plan to mount it on an ar-10 carbine. When mocking it up it fits better backwards? The pepr mount is made to bring the scope more forward? Correct? I read that it gives you that nose on the charging handle fit. I cant put my head that far forward comfortably. Is there a problem using it the other way? Am I doing something wrong? It feels good with the scope about 2 in behind the charging handle. Its going to be used for qcb and out to 2-300 yds. |

If you have a long fixed or a collapsible stock all the way out you won't be able to put our head in a comfortable position for NTCH. |

I would not run it backwards. You can scoot it back on the upper a bit. Most 308 platform's sit the stock a little farther back and the upper rail extends farther forward than the ar15.
2" behind the upper seems quite a bit farther back than normal. What stock are you using and what is your eye relief on the Burris scope? |
