Searched "c-more" and "cmore," but no hits.
What is everyone's opinion of them for a budget optic? I've always thought they look kinda cool. Also looking at Primary Arms and Vortex stuff. |

C-more used to make a sight called atac it was aluminum based sight mounted onto the sight portion of an a2 carry handle. You could change dots from 2 moa on up. They had nvm settings. They are fast to use, like an eotech. Their major drawback was battery life. 1200-1500hrs.
Personally I like them. Buis built in Easy to see through. Like looking through a car windshield. I think they were the best looking sight on an ar. Looks like it belongs there. If you look for one be sure to get the aluminum one and not plastic |
I have two purchased back in 2010 both are holding up great despite that C-more is early 2000s technology. Complete pain in the ass to zero since they do not have click adjustments. But the one in this picture on a 3-gun rifle I zeroed two years ago and still dead on. Battery life does kinda suck but the open style of the sight offers great field of view and I have 2moa dots. Great for shooting 6in plates at 100 yards. Now during bright sunlight if it hits the lens a certain way it can distort the beam making it appear hazy. Two companies make sun shades for the C-more on this one is one by Arredondo, it works pretty well, just screws on. Arredondo C-more hood I believe this is a model ATRW it has a built in riser for rifle. For the record my next Optic will be a Primary Arms. They are pretty damn good for the money. C-more I would not take to combat (great for 3gun and range training) I know guys that have run Primary Arms red dots in A-stan they have held up. |

I purchased a C-More ATAC RDS a few years back...I liked the fact it has an integrated A2 BUIS. Most gripes I read were about the battery (3V) that were pricey, but soon found that by doubling up on two watch batteries worked equally as well...not to mention a bit cheaper.
Now that I'm an Aimpoint fan-boy, it now sits in the safe collecting dust. |

I bought one early 2000's as well, the one with the built in A2 sights.
It's now on my AR 9mm, still going strong. It's a big sight window, so very easy to pick up. As others have said, a tremendous pain to zero, as you're turning an Allen key, with no idea how much to turn. Trial and error only - left, more left, now right, how much did I turn it to the right cause I need to make it go back to the left, etc. I would not buy a new one now - better sights are out there, but they're fine to use. |
| I have a number of my ARs set up with them. Both 9mm and several .223s. We shoot a tactical rifle match here after the regular USPSA matches and they work very well for that. I can take hits out to 150 yards without any problems, perhaps further, but haven't tried it yet. Mostly closer type targets. Very quick to get on target. Next build will have another one mounted on it also. Of course, I've had one on my Open .38 super for 15 years or more and it's still going strong. |
