I noticed the battery went out about a month and a half ago. I changed it with a new, quality battery and I just checked it and it's dead already.

I keep it on 6-7. There's no reason the battery should be dead this quick. The battery cover is tight, it's not in a high humidity area, no drops, but it rattled around in a vehicle mount for about 6 months before I put a variable scope on my main rifle.

I had no issues checking it every day for the 6 months when it rode in the vehicle mount and the battery lasted the whole time.

I'm going to call Aimpoint after the holidays to see if they can help. But I figured someone here might know why the battery keeps going dead.

Hmmmm...if the battery is for sure good & new going in, at that setting you should be getting 3+ years out of it.  If it was mine, I'd do a good battery compartment inspection to see if there is anything obvious causing a bad or high resistance connection, put in a new 2032, leave it on your normal indoors setting, and see if it dies again in X months.  If so, then a warrantee trip back to Aimpoint will be in order!

Lots of expired 2032 sold through amazon. I had a bad batch. Sony in my case.
