I had initially really wanted an EOTech, but with all the bad PR they've gotten, that's out. I don't think the extreme weather stuff would affect me, but I want something that'll hold it's value, and I'm not sure the eotech would.
This brought me to an AIMpoint Pro, which I really like. However, it sounds like i'd need to buy a mount with it? Which has then led me to consider the Trijicon MRO, that comes with the Larue mount for around the same price. I am not a huge fan of the look of it, but haven't been able to dig up a ton of pictures. This is going on a 16" M4 i just put together. Thanks in advance |

If you're worried about the look, but some cheap chinese made junk that you like the look of and slap it on your rifle. The MRO is a battle grade optic. The housing is forged (think ACOG tough), the optic has excellent battery life, and performs well. If you want a light/small RDS (Aimpoint Pro is great, but it is neither small nor light) that doesn't cost $700 and can be trusted, the MRO is what you buy.
Stop treating your rifle like a barbie doll. |

Didn't know choosing between an Aimpoint PRO and a Trijicon MRO and weighing in aesthetics (particularly when size isn't a concern) was being such a barbie! |

Win, win. And I thought they came with mounts. The MRO is nice too though. |

Here is my MRO on my DD M4V9. I also have a couple of Aimpoint PROs and i do like both of them, but this one is lighter, and also has a decent size objective. It has the factory absolute co-witness mount. https://s16.postimg.org/cuxvh2p29/dd1.jpg https://s16.postimg.org/eo0s5ea8x/dd2.jpg https://s16.postimg.org/5hihi450h/dd3.jpg https://s16.postimg.org/4t9mz66ap/dd4.jpg Thanks. Im not one to shoot with both eyes open for anything at all, but is that a concern you've run into? |

I run my MRO with both eyes open. It's excellent. Runs just as good as the Aimpoint micros I've ran in the past. Aimpoints are great, but I'm sticking with MRO's in the future now.
