| Anyone prefer the larger lens over the smaller lens? The CompM4s has a 26mm lens and the T2 has an 18mm lens. I just unloaded a CompM4s and I am second guessing if I should get a T2. |
| I have not used a Comp M4, just the M2/M3 (.mil issued) and I own a T2. Personally I like the T2, for me it is mounted on an AR pistol currently, and I shoot both eyes open it kind of fades away for me. I would take a CompM4, but I wouldn't choose one over the other they are both top notch imo. The objective lens size is just that, objective. What works for you? |

Should be 30mm and 20mm respectively. I much prefer the smaller T2; does the same thing at lesser weight. With both eyes open, both sights' housings ghost out. I never understood the "tube effect" statements. Open both eyes... |

The M4 is probably the best red dot available, built like a tank and a 9 year battery life. They are expensive and heavy, but the battery life alone is worth the cost of admission.
I want to look through Trijicon's SRS to see if the wider field of view makes it worth the same price. I own a H-1, T-1, CompM3, CompM4, Burris Fast Fire, UltraDot and Primary Arms. The more expensive the model the better they have been. I don't trust the Fast Fire or the Primary Arms for anything more than casual use. |

SHTF AA batteries For me the M4 is faster to get my eyeball behind and find the dot and target For me the T-2 is much lighter a joy to carry. I got both plus a T-1,MRO,ML2,RMO1 just to be safe... I would not feel bad at all if the only one I had of the current crop of RDS was an Aimpoint Pro |

I'll have to bite it and get a T2. I loved the compm4s but I just won't know what I like more without trying the other.
The housing on the m4 was not an issue and the low mounted battery is great. Honestly the housing even in the m4 was ghosted for me. I'm hoping I get this same impression with the T2. Is the T2 harder to pick up the dot with? |

Mount further out on the upper receiver, and it's very easy when cheeking the gun to grab the dot. I'd say either absolute or 1/3 co-witness, whichever you're more comfortable with; this factor will have greater bearing on you grabbing the dot quickly vs the ocular lens size differences in the M4 and T2 |

Get bad eyes..even with my glasses that small dot is hard to pick up quickly. And that is why I like Eotechs. The bigger the better for me. I like my M4s over the Mico on my AK. Quoted:

On average, setting 7/8 I found works best for me in most situations (obviously lower in darker situations). Not really been an issue for me. |
