| I think I saw this issue on here forever ago but I mounted my Razor in one of the SPR mounts and am hitting way left and don't have enough adjustment to even hit the target backer. Do I need a torque wrench for the base? Or what else could be the issue? |

I would pull it apart and looks for burrs on the mount/rail/rings, etc. Then as long as everything looked clean and smooth I would probably call Aero and ask for a replacement. If it zeroed with the Bobro, it ought to be able to zero with the Aero. If this was the first time the upper was being used with an optic I would pull the upper and face it to make sure the barrel is pointing straight relative to the upper. That shouldn't be an issue since the Bobro mount worked. |

wag_bag posted in this thread that Aero mounts will rotate clockwise while you are tightening the mount. Might be related. |

As a follow-up with jacqufrost's post.. are you sure that the optic is level to your upper? I use the Clinometer app to ensure that the optic is within 1 degree of the upper so I never have an issue with cant. Also, be sure to check the top hinges where your Aero mount snaps together. I have several Aeros and I had one break recently at the hinge using my Vortex Razor 1-6x. I think it's because the zoom lever is so stiff with the earlier Razors that it was too much torque for the hinge to handle. I've already loosened my zoom lever so this shouldn't happen again. http://i.imgur.com/oQL83Vx.jpg Could it possibly be an issue that I removed the mount with the scope inside of it, and remounted it to the receiver? I will check the hinges when I get home. As said previously I have zeroed the optic on my old bobro mount on the same receiver. As far as your comment about the zoom stiffness and torque breaking the mount potentially, I suppose that could be a possibility too. From what I understand from the original owner of this scope was that it was one of the earlier runs of them. Thank you for the ideas. Honestly this is my first scope mount with horizontal screws for the rings, and I'm thinking about just getting a scout rail extension and standard vertical screw rings and trying to lose weight elsewhere on the gun because even an SPR length mount doesn't allow me my preferred NTCH cheek weld. |

Sounds like you need an extended mount. The Geissele Super Precision is also available in an extended length now. |

With the razor 1-6 and virtually every 1-x scope I have to run an extended mount (ar platform) ..... Just curious why you changed mounts when the bobro was working?? Correct I was trying to come in under 2 lbs. Will the LR SPR-E mount allow for NTCH shooting with 4 inch eye relief in the Razor? FWIW I bought the SPR Aero mount and it was a little far out for how I like to shoot. I was willing to accept the cheek weld trade off for the lighter weight but if the SPR-E puts it out far enough I'll probably get it. The Bobro mount was also an extended that didn't quite allow for NTCH either for the record also its one of the Trijicon branded ones. |

The SPR-E will let you shoot NTCH with 4" eye relief. I use it with my Weaver Tactical 2-10x36 FFP so I can get NTCH. Thank you I may give the LR mount a try, I did just pick up a MFT minimalist stock (local $40 retail |
