I'm in need of a scope... intended use will be paper/steel out to 800 or so yards... I have several MK IV scopes as well as several SWFA SS scopes in fixed 10X.

Anyone have the 3-15 SS? How's the glass on these compared to the SS 10X?

I don't have a fixed 10x but I do have the 3-15. The glass is very good even compared to my other more expensive scopes. For the size,weight and features it's a pretty good package for its price range.
