Looking at an aimpoint pro. These are gtg right?

I've heard some problems with the aco and it's not cheap enough IMHO to justify differences

I know the comp series is supposed to be better but I thought these are proven too

Yes. If you don't mind the weight.

Pros are built like tanks. I've had one on my patrol rifle for two years and it's been bashed and battered with no failures. I bought two more recently and mounted one in a LaRue mount. Lighter than the supplied mount. I want another LaRue mount for my Pro I'm mounting to my new SCAR16S.

I bought all three of mine from local shops for between $389 and $420.

It's not hard to find PROs for around $385 shipped. OpticsPlanet has 10% off coupons fairly frequently. That makes it $381 shipped.

I have been pretty happy with my pro . I have owned it for about 3.5 years . its always there , always on and always on target . It might flly apart tommoros but I seriously doubt it . my carbine rides on my tractor and 4 wheeler alot so it has had its far share of bumps and knocks .

Unfortunately I have to pay tax, which is no joke in Illinois

What problems did the ACO have?

I don't understand why they made the ACO in the first place. You can get the PRO for around the same price and it's a better optic, mount and actually has lens covers.
