What's the hives opinion as this for as an option for those of us who are, well, not able to spend $4,000 on a NV scope.

You might want to ask this question on the Night Vision forum, under the Amory tab. The reviews on Amazon seem to indicate there have been issues with the scope, but ATN is attempting to address them. I am thinking this might be a case where you might want to save and purchase something with better quality control a few months down the line.

It's a pretty good option if you're limited on funds. Works much better if you pair it with a good IR illuminator.

There's a hardware revision coming out soon (X-Sight II) that apparently has a higher resolution display and better CPU. Probably worth waiting for.

If there's another version coming out soon, I think it will wait and give it a try then assuming it's going to be similarly priced.
