I have a Colt LE6920 with Aimpoint PRO red dot sight. I've only practiced at ranges, generally 25 or 50 yards.
I would like to be able to go 100 or 200 yards. Am I better off buying a 3x magnifier to use with my Aimpoint, or a separate scope to use on its own (without the Aimpoint)? I'm not planning on being a competition shooter, just want something reasonably accurate and low maintenance that will extend my range. Thanks! steve |

I did like the PA magnifier I had/have with my now returned Eotech. I can't use reddots due to them looking like commas but have used friends magnifiers on their Eotechs and at 100 yards found it to be enough.
Im looking for a variable now.. But, I'd try to get time behind a magnifier and if you do get one, make sure you can flip or twist it to the side if you want to shoot at 1x. The magnifier and reddot may be even less weight than some of the variables out there and comparable to the acogs. |
