[ARCHIVED THREAD] - aimpoint pro rubber case

My son wants me to put on a rubber case that aimpoint makes to match the rifle in FDE. Ive read that the factory mount needs to come off and the lens covers to put it on. I haven't received it in the mail yet but was wondering if this was true, and are there any other special tips. I heard these things are a major pain in the ass to get on. Thanks

Not hard at all. Hardest part was getting the lens covers off.

do i need to remove the mount first?

You don't have to remove the mount, stick it in a bowl of really hot water for a minute or two it softens it up and you won't have to stretch it so hard just be sure and remove any lens covers first.
